Ifmail is a set of FidoNet(tm) compatible transport and gateway
programs, running on multiple U*IX platforms (Linux, FreeBSD, SCO, SVR4,
SunOS and others). In cooperation with typical U*IX e-mail and netnews
packages, it allows to make a FidoNet node (or point) on a machine
running U*IX.

The package is BETA, use it on your own risk.

ifmail25.tar.z (180 K) should be soon available at:
tsx-11.mit.edu: pub/linux/sources/usr.bin
sunsite.unc.edu:	pub/Linux/system/Mail/transport

Changes from 2.4:

 1. Bugfixes and cleanups.
 2. Overworks in EMSI implementation to handshake with FrontDoor that
    has non-compliant EMSI.
 3. Send the filename converted to DOS form (if FNC requested and in
    non-EMSI sessions).
 4. Rudimentary exception processing (segmentation faults etc.)
 5. Accept pointlists in FrontDoor format.
 6. More proper behavior when the same node is defined in multiple
    nodelists.
 7. "magic" file requests allow "references" in addition to executable
    programs.
 8. Security holes closed (all known to me).
 9. Fix in seen-by checking to allow sending echo to your own points.
10. Some errors in the incoming message format do not abort tossing
    of the packet.
11. Accept addresses in all possible formats as per RFC-822.
