To submit Linux stuff to sunsite, do this: 1) Get LSM-template from /pub/Linux/docs 2) Fill out the lsm entry as described 2a) Send it to lsm@osf-alpha.cs.helsinki.fi so that it can be automatically added to the LSM database. 3) Don't create directories! 4) Upload your files and a .lsm file containing an lsm entry to /pub/Linux/Incoming 5) Mail ewt@sunsite.unc.edu if you have something to add Don't upload graphics here unless they're linux specific. General images have more appropriate repositories on the net. Also try to keep filenames less then 20 characters. I know it hurts, but it does make the INDEX files more readable. Also, use dots before extensions like README and lsm, not dash's. The dash's break my shell scripts. Submissions w/o .lsm entries may be rejected at the maintainers whim. Some packages have well known maintainers, and I won't take replacements for those from anonymous sources. Also, if a file turns out to be corrupt, it may be removed without any notification, so please check and be sure your file goes where it should.
