Changes from 1.3.34 to 1.3.35

These changes are archived on ftp.crynwr.com:pub/kchanges and http://www.crynwr.com/kchanges. I cannot answer questions about Linux -- I merely summarize the kernel patches after reading them. I try to make them useful to everyone, but kernel hackers should take them with a grain of salt and read the patches themselves. The patch file is patch-1.3.35.gz

These are from Linus:

Ok, the linux device initialization stuff seems to be calming down. I made a 1.3.35 that fixes a few more of the init problems ("Unable to obtain scsi_result buffer" and some lance network driver statistics stuff).

There are various minor changes to the scsi stuff: cleanups and floptical media detection. 1.3.35 also updates the z8530 driver, and the sjcd driver. It also contains a few minor updates to the ide driver, and updates the random device a bit. Very minor fixes to the sound driver as well..

1.3.35 also introduces the new graphical kernel configuration tool. Do a "make xconfig" to configure the kernel by pressing on those nifty buttons (fake quote of the month: "I don't need XDOOM any more: I do a kernel config instead").

(The graphical config probably fails completely on an alpha. I suspect it can't handle the CROSSCOMPILE config and multi-choice stuff.. I haven't installed tcl/tk to test it out)
