Dear Mipsers,

I think it's time to make a list of parts we want to use so
that Neil and me (and perhaps others too, if they like)
can try to figure out costs.

I'll make a list of possible chips we may use.
Please add your wishes and/or suggestions here
so that we all have an overview.

Please leave that list complete, just add to it.
Sometimes it's very painful to scan thru 350 mails to see the history...

Probably DP8390, or DP83902

DP8391 for coax.

How much is this?

Sigh, I could live with 1 MBit of display memory for B/W.

Drop this.

SMC FDC37c663 - has 16550's, IDE.

Is this "20 MHz bus/ 40 MHz internal"?

> * RAM

8 MBytes on board sounds reasonable.

Dallas Semiconductor DS12887, Moto 146818 compatible,
built-in battery & crystal. Extended (additional 64 bytes) NVRAM.

8742 with some kind of BIOS. Of course, we won't be using the "gatea20"
feature, and the "reset" feature may be debated.

34-pin FDC header, 10-pin 2nd serial header, 50-pin IDE header.

> I'm sure I have forgotten something :-)
That's always my problem. Like the fact that I should be home by now.
