Dear IFCSS Members:

The disasterous flood striking eighteen provinces of China has
caused grave concerns among the Chinese students. At the 3rd Congress
of the Independent Federation of Chinese Students and Scholars,
representatives of IFCSS member organizations and other participants
donated $882.00 to support the relief efforts. This donation, added to
the $1,000 IFCSS emergency fund, has already been mailed to the Red
Cross Society of China. IFCSS now appeals for further donation by more
Chinese students and scholars from all parts of the United States for
the relief of victims. To the time of the report, 1,700 persons have
died and over two million people become homeless in the flood.
Concerned donators may mail their checks to

               IFCSS: Flood Relief.

and mail to: IFCSS, 733 15th Street, Suite 440
               Washington D.C. 20005
