[INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] Downloading Cyberbit _________________________________________________________________ Introduction Thank you for your interest in Bitstream® Cyberbit, tm our award-winning international font. For best results, print and review this file. Bitstream is now distributing the roman weight, free of charge, over the Internet. (You can also order the CD from Bitstream for a small shipping and handling fee.) The first release of Cyberbit is in TrueType® format for Windows 95® and Windows NT.tm Future releases will provide support for other platforms, other font formats, and even more languages. _________________________________________________________________ Downloading the Cyberbit Files Follow the instructions below to download and extract the Cyberbit files. 1. Create a new directory, such as CYBERBIT, on your hard drive. You will download the Cyberbit file to this directory. You can also use an existing directory, such as TMP or TEMP, to download the file to. There are five files. Most people need to download only one. 2. Decide which file you should download in the list below. (Each file is about 7.6 MB.) Then click a link to download the file. After you click the link, go to the next step to find out where to save the file. File Your Version of Windows 95 or NT original.exe Western Languages (English, European, etc.) or Middle Eastern cbchnsmp.exe Simplified Chinese (PRC) cbchntrd.exe Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) cbkanji.exe Japanese cbkorean.exe Korean 3. Save the file to disk, in the CYBERBIT directory you created in step 1, or in a directory of your choice. Note: The file is a binary file. 4. In Windows, open Windows Explorer. (Click the Start button, point to Programs, and click Windows Explorer.) In the left pane of Windows Explorer, open the folder that you downloaded the file to (for example, CYBERBIT). In the right pane, double-click the name of the file you downloaded. The files will extract in that folder. (In most cases, an MS-DOS box displays. When the files are done extracting, the title bar of the MS-DOS box displays the word "Finished." At this point, you can close the MS-DOS box.) You can also extract the files by typing, at a DOS prompt, the name of the file that you downloaded. For example: original.exe Note: Each of the font files extract to the same file name, cyberbit.ttf. If you need more than one Cyberbit font file, extract them into different directories. Besides the font file, documentation files extract to the directory you are saving files to. See the next section for more information. _________________________________________________________________ Using Bitstream Cyberbit To install and use the Cyberbit font and the files that come with it, look through the README.
