------ List: Linux-Asia Sender: ishikawa@personal-media.co.jp (Chiaki Ishikawa) Subject: Wnn 4.2 released Date: Fri, 7 Oct 94 16:07:23 JST ------ PMC e-mail id: 3159 I am not an official spokesperson for Wnn. But I subscribe to Wnn mailing list and have seen a couple of postings the gist of which I translated below. So be warned if you use X11R5. --- From the Wnn mailing list ---- Someone compiled the package on Sony NEWS-3720, OS: 4.1.2R 、X11R5-pl26, and system-supplied cc. When jserver was invoked, the following errors were observed. >> # ./jserver >> >> Nihongo Multi Client Server (4.20) >> No such file or directory >> Error can't open /usr/local/lib/wnn//jserverrc >> No such file or directory >> Error can't open /usr/local/lib/wnn//jserverrc >> The errors were caused by the mishandling of filename as in .../wnn/ja_JP/jserverrc (correct) -> .../wnn//jserverrc (incorrect) Using X11R6-pl4 on SunOS 4.1.3, jserver was compiled and ran fine. (Note the difference of X11 release number. 5 and 6 above.) Answer from someone in Wnn Consortium.: Wnn4.2 uses a C macro, JWNNLANG, in its Imakefile. Unfortunately, this macro was missing from X11R5 Project.tmpl (Xsi/configR5/Project.tmpl). Please add the following lines to the file and remake Makefile(s) and recompile. JWNNLANG = ja_JP CWNNLANG = zh_CN KWNNLANG = ko_KR TWNNLANG = zh_TW LWNNLANG = lt_LN This will be fixed in the next revision (possibly Wnn4.201). === end quote === Chiaki Ishikawa Phone:+81-3-5702-0351 Personal Media Corp.
