GNUchess 4.0.79

What is it
GNU chess is a program which plays a chess game against itself or a user. Normal use is to read and write commands to and from a front end such as GNU xboard, or the Sun chesstool program.

This program is simply for enjoyment and plays a very tough game of chess.

Solaris Issues
There are no specific OS dependancies compiled into GNU chess to my knowledge.

Source Code
You can ftp the source code from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gnuchess-4.0.pl79.tar.gz

Special Issues
When installing this software also include GNU xboard 4.0.0. Run the xboard program, it will automatically run GNU chess for you. You interact with GNU xboard, GNU chess plays the game. See the main packages README for installation information.
