Frankly, this is pure BS.
For the millionth time, most accidents/highway deaths happen because
somebody does something stupid, or maybe mechanical failure, but not
because someone is driving too fast.
For example, pulling out in front of someone, not paying attention and
rear-ending someone, ad nauseum.
If you feel that driving the big 55 is the safest maximum speed, get your
ass over in the right lane and let the rest of us pass you by.
