AP Subcategories – February, 1998

Here are the subcategory codes used by Associated Press as of Feb. 25, 1998. The list was provided by John Swart of the AP. It includes some subcategories that probably don’t have a use in photo archiving, such as ADV, APN, FILE, FEA, HFR, MAP (an image type), NAT etc. The comments after the codes also come from AP. The full list is followed by a breakdown into "Sports" and "Other" subcategories.
