MidAtlantic News Research Conference

The MidAtlantic News Research Conference is designed to provide
educational
programming to news library and research department staffs in North and
South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia. It also provides an
opportunity for news research professionals from all sizes and types of
newsrooms to meet and discuss common issues. There is no charge for this
two-day program, which will be held at the School of Information and
Library Science in Manning Hall on the UNC-CH campus.

some of the best sites along with a source list for many,many more.

Condensed from the SLA News Division's CE course on Intranets, a
look at
how to build one, what to include, and how to maintain it.

Learn HTML -- Carolyn Edds, Andrew Fiore
Be the HTML guru in your newsroom. Simultaneous training sessions
for the
beginner and for the accomplished html author looking for some new
impressive tricks. Followed by open lab time for practice.

Tours of newspaper libraries: The N&O, Raleigh. -- Chris
Hardesty
Carpooling and maps available. Meet afterward for a nice
dinner.
Saturday

Tours of newspaper libraries: UNC School of Journalism and Mass
Communication -- Barbara Semonche
Meet at the J-School for a Continental Breakfast and tour of the library.

chance for informal discussion and questions.
