    • User Interface Design- Worked with a colleague to develop an interactive prototype of a web-based system. Loi was designed to be an interactive metrics tool for non-profit and small community based online radio stations. Here is our final write-up, including screenshots.

    • Advanced Internet Applications- For this class I wrote 6 small widgets and scripts, created in various languages including Javascript, PHP, Perl, and XML.

    • Brief course description: "Analysis, use, and evaluation of information and reference systems, services, and tools with attention to printed and electronic modes of delivery. Provides a foundation in search techniques for electronic information retrieval, question negotiation, and interviewing." My final project for this class was a pathfinder website on global warming in the southeastern United States

About Me

Sarah Kahn

I am a rogue Librarian turned Web Designer/Developer. I recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Library and Information Science with a Master's in Library Science, with a strong emphasis on Information Science.

Web design is my passion. I enjoy doing both front-end design and development, as I do in my current position with Lulu.com as a User Interface Engineer, as well as continuing to learn scripting and back-end architecture. I do freelance work of all kinds, including design, development, and SEO. I also have an undying love for libraries, and enjoy volunteering at the Cameron Village Regional Public Library, in Raleigh.
