Dear Balaji SundaraRajan
swAmi,
Having seen a thirukkuRaL in the first ten
let us go to the tenth ten where the thirkkuRaL has been referred
to.
'thagavailai thagavilaiyEA
nE kaNNA, thada mulai thoRum
puNarchikkARA suga
veLLam visumbiRandhu..." 10-3-2 of thiruvoimozhi.
Here, parAnkusa nAyaki --AzhwAr- mentions
that the happiness that is obtained from the togetherness of AzhwAr and the Lord
will permeate through the skies and reach the parama-padham. The happiness is
not just likened to parama-padham but is expressed as exceeding the hihgest
happiness.
Is this possible?
Here the thirukkuRaL referred
to is:
'thAm vEzhwAr men-thOl
thuyilin inidhi kol
thAmaraik kaNNAn
vulagu' 1103.
Can the paramapadham of thirumAl-the lotus
eyed Lord- can give happiness like the lover's shoulders.
Here the happiness of the lovers is
expressed as that of exceeding the highest happiness i.e
parama-padham,.
For lovers their
happiness is supposed to be biggest ignoring all other things. Incidentlaly, it
should be observed that thiruvaLLuvar has mentioned that the highest happiness
as that of thAmarai-k-kaNNAn vulagu.
I just mentioned a few places where i remembered
offhand. You may please continue.
regards
