SrI: friends, this is the first sloka in narayaneeyam sung by sri narayana battathri. GURUKULAMNARAYANEEYAM - CLASS 1 Narayaneeyam is the master-piece of Shri. Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri, a devotional hymn based on Bhagavatham. Narayaneeyam describes the various incarnations of Lord Vishnu in the context of Guruvayur temple. It is believed that the reading or even hearing of Narayaneeyam has got magical healing powers and will bring "ayurarogyasoukhyam" in this birth. We are starting a new regular session for the devotees to understand and learn this great epic. Narayaneeyam is arranged in to 100 dasakas, each containing 10 slokas. In each class, one sloka will be given with its meaning explained. May Lord Sree Guruvayurappan bless you.
