adiyen failed to write more about the special status of Madhurakavi Azhwar. adiyen would like to expand fromt the previous email - Thanks to Sri.Padanabhan Swamy for pointing this out. adiyen uses the parts of his writing from one of this earlier posting to expand on the speciality of Madhurakavi Azhwar. adiyen apologizes for missing out on this important stuff as Thirukkolur is the birth place of Madhurakavi Azhwar.

Madhurakavi Azhwar emphasizes the Acharya bhakti as compared to other Azhwars. Other Azhwars showed bhaki on Perumal. But, they were fluctuating - expressed happiness when Perumal was with them, but expressed sadness when Perumal was away from them. Whereas Madhurakavi Azhwar was very firm in his thoughts and his steadfast devotion towards AchAryan reflect in his singleminded pasurams.

That is what is mentioned by piLLai lOkAchAryar when he says "we should take madhurakavigaL's prabhandham as the guding beacon. He is the one who laughs at them, as his means secured him unfluctutating fortunes"

sUthram 408:" vuNda pOdhu oru vArthaiyum, vuNNAdha pOdhu oru vArthaiyum solluvar pathu pEar vuNdiREa; avargaL pAsuram koNdanRu ivvartham aRudhiyiduvadhu.

409:" avargaLai pArhtuch sirithiruppAr oruvar vuNdiRea; avar pAsuram koNdu ivvartham aRudhiyidak kadavOam"

Here, to emphasize the importance of taking refuge in AchAryan in preference to the Lord, the words "avaraip pArthu sirippAr oruvar vuNdiRea" is  mentioned.

Let us continue enjoying Thirukkolur pasurams as we proceed with Paranusanayaki, from the follwoignposting.

adiyen,
ramanan
