Also, the bhaktas of rudran get involved in strenuos physical means like walking on fire etc... unlike Vishnu bhkatas. Infact, Vishnu bhaktas always enjoy the kaimkaryam as they get involved in goshti followed by prasadam. They dont even have to take shower in the middle of the day again unlike the shiva bhaktas. They need to get ready for the next goshti during the utsavam, and hence have to make sure they have their thrumann kAppu on their forehead. Swami PL also refers to the story from periya puranam on Siruthonda nayanar. He was commanded by rudran to have to cook pillaikkari. Swamy PL refers to rudran as thazhalnira vannan as agaist mugivannan for Perumal. Thazhal niram refers to the colour of heat. Hence it is always not suited where as mugilniram refers to coolness that suits every one. Two Divya Desam Perumals were called as Mugilvannan by NammAzhwar in ThirvAymozhi. Azhwar calls Srirangam Perumal as Mugilvannan in his phalasruti pasuram (7.2). Immediately, in the next ten pasurams, Azhwar calls the Perumal of ThenthiruppErai as Nigaril Mugilvannan (7.3) "Nigaril Mugilvannan nEmiyAn en nenjam kavarndhu enai oozhiyAnE" Krishna bhaktas are always under the cool shade Him unlike the souls that worship rudran. We will contiune with the case of rudran further in the next posting... aDiyEn, ramanan [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
