A recent posting gave the locations visited by Swami Desikan when he left Srirangam. It was mentioned in that posting that Swami Desikan stayed for sometime in Satyamangalam in Karnataka. Satyamanagalam is in Tamil Nadu, 60 km north east of Coimbatore City on the road to Mysore. It is likely that Swami Desikan must have passed through this town as it is on the route that has been used for more than 1000 years in a pass over the mountains between the regions which are   now Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It is not known whether Swami stayed here for any length of time. There is however an old Vishnu temple and a building of Sri Ahobila Math in this town,

There is a place in Karnataka called Satyagalam near Kollegal, near the banks of Cauvery. The is a temple called Kotte Varadharajaswamy temple in this hamlet which has a sannathi for Swami Desikan.

Was this the author of the posting referring to? Kindly clarify
