The 66th Naamam of SrI VenkatEsa AshtOttharam:
***************************************
Bhaktha-vathsalaaya Nama:

One who has great affection for His devotees.

This is the 742nd Naama of SrI VishNu Sahasra Naamam .His special affection for His BhakthAs is particularly
evident in KrishNAvathAram. The bonds of friendship and love He has for the unlettered Gopis speaks a world
about His devotion to His BhakthAs.

At  the very end of the Dasama skandham of SrImad BhAgavatham , the special status of Bhakthan and the Lord's affection for them are  summarized:

" By constant and continous practise of hearing , singing about, and remembering the glorious deeds of the Lord , man's devotion to Him grows day by day , and by virtue of it , he attains  the Supreme abode of the Lord , overcoming the otherwise irreversible and inevitable approach of death , which engulfs all beings. It is seeking that state the kings  go to  the forests abandoning their kingdoms".

The PerumAl at the dhivya dEsam of ThirukkaNNamangai is known as Bhaktha Vathsalan , which is BhattarAvi in Tamil. BhattarAvi means the the soull of  BhakthAs to indicate the tight realtionship betweenthe Lord and His BhakthAs .Thirumangai mannan's ten paasurams ( Dhivya Prabhandham 1638-1647)on Bhaktha Vathsala PerumAL are special celebrations of the Bhaktha Vathsala Tatthvam of the Lord .
