HH Sri Vanamamalai Periya Pattarbiran jeeyer 1843-1853 (nineteenth pattam)

Swamy?s kainkaryams (Contd.)

On reaching thirumalai, swamy did mangalasasanams to govindarajan and then
proceeded to climb the divine thirumala hill and did mangalasasanams to
thiruvenkatamudaiyan, alarmelmangai uraimArban (on whose chest stays the divine
mother on the lotus). There, swamy was honoured both in the temple as per the
usual procedure and also by Periya jeeyer, chinna jeeyer and other
srivaishnavas and then swamy proceeded towards bhAkyapuram (secanderabad).

There a person by the name poornan welcomed swamy with great honours.
Manyvaishyas honoured swamy and submitted various costly gems and money to
thedivine feet of swamy. They also submitted beautiful peetAmbharams (silk
clothings) to swamy?s divine feet. Swamy stayed there for some time and
according to their wish enlightened them with sastra thAthparyams and the path
leading to upliftment in a very simple and easy manner that attracted all of
them and hence they never wanted to get separated from swamy. Poornan submitted
two beautiful umbrellas with golden handle (venkudai) and two fans (samarangal)
and a huge amount of gems to swamy.

Further swamy wanted to proceed towards the north to have darshan of the great
places in which Lord Sri Krishna took avatharam and did his master leelas.
Swamy was interested in visiting vadamadurai, govardhanam, brundhAvanam and
thereby swamy told his wish to all of them. Then poornan sent 100 strong
servants to protect swamy (thirumeni kaval). Swamy after consoling poornan and
others who were grieved due to the departure of swamy, proceeded his journey.
On the way swamy was honoured by many kings, prabhus and srivaishnavas and as
per plan swamy reached brindavan.

At that time, Sri rangAcharya swamy, the peedAdhipathi of govardhana peedamwho
established andal and rangamannar in brindavanam came along with his close
disciple Sri radha Krishnan, coming to know about swamy?s arrival and already
knowing the greatness of swamy, his jnanaanushtanam (knowledge and practice)
and scholarliness and his ashrama wanting a sacredness to the newly developed
sannadhi in brindavanam approached swamy well in advance (about 100 Kms),
prostrated swamy and submitted his request to swamy. Furtherthey accepted the
charges for the daily thadheeyarAdhanam of the mutt and also for swamy?s yathra
expense and welcomed swamy to brindavan. Swamy pleased with this and
considering this to be andal?s thiruvarul, quickly reached brindavan and along
with pattu peedhambharams to andal and rangamannar did mangalasasanams to the
divine couples. Swamy was then honoured withthirumAlai, peedhAmbharam abhaya
hastham etc. Then as per the request of Sri rangachariyar and
radhakrishna sreshti swamy stayed in brindavan for six months and was deeply
honoured all through his stay.

Every day swamy delivered the divine meanings of the azhvar?s arulicheyals
(works of Azhvars) to all those who visited swamy in a very easy, crisp and
sweet manner which filled radhakrishnan and others in great ecstasy. During his
stay swamy visited all the places related to Krishna leelas in brindavan and
enjoyed each one of them as per azhvan?s srisookthi ?govardhanO girivarO
