 AchArya hridhayam -sUthram-22

In the previous sUthram the nature of shEshathvam-being subserivent to the Lord
and the nature of pArathanthrium-being capable of used by the Lord was
explained. The nature of bhoghthrithvam-the mixture of enjoyemnt when one's
kainkaryam to the Lord and the nature of bhogyadhai- the kainkaryam to the Lord
is done like insentient beings but the aim is the happiness of the Lord was
explained as bhogyadhai.

in this sUthram this is explained as mentioned in thirumandhiram
TEXT: "gnAna chadurthigaLin maleaRiyiRE, Anandha shashtigaLukku udhayam"
The meaning of this sUthram should be understood by putting the text as follows

-'gnAnathin malEAyiREA Anandhathukku udhayam;
chadurthiyin malEAyiREA shashtikku udhayam'

a. 'gnAnathin malEAyiREA Anandhathukku udhayam;
the padham 'mA' in the thirumandhiram -A,vU and mA'- refers to the soul. The
soul is knowledged which also gives it a bit of independence. When the
kainkaryam or service to the Lord is done, this independence should not raise
up and mix the service with independent or self-enjoyment motive. This is
negated by the nama-padham of thiruamdhiram being 'na' meaning that -This is
not for me but for the Lord. this refers to the bhOgyadhai.

b chadurthiyin maleyuiREA shashtikku udhayam:
The three terms akAram-A, ukAram-vU, makAram-mA form the praNavam. The first
term akAram A -phonetic nedil of first tamil letter a- consists of the term
'Aya' -innately inside-which refers that For the sake of the Lord -nAngAm
vERRumai vurubu- This highlights the subservient nature of the soul. This
subtle term'Aya' is referred to here as chadurthi.

The term referred to by shashti is 'ma' in the nam: in the term" Om nam:'
The ma followed by ':' is the ku of the sanskrit sixth vERRumai (i hope i am
correct) together means that soul is for himself. This is negatived by the term
na preceding to the term ma:
which refers to the pAranthanthriyam.

Thus the nature of the soul is for Him, the service is for Him, the happiness
derived from the serivice is His happiness and our happiness is from His
happiness is explained from the above two sUthram-s.
