AchArya Hrdhayam SUthram 226-2

THE EIGHTH TEN
FEAR and Doubts Removed by the Lord Himself.

"dhEvimAr paNiyAr nEarpatta nalla kOtpAdennum padi sakthiyAlEa nithyamAgak
kalpitha pathnE parijanAdhigaLaiyudaiya sathyakAman koNda vAkvruthiyayum
maRapikkum kalakkamum, sangaiyum, achamum thERa"

The Almighty is :
i. The Lord of all the pirAtti-s.
ii. The Lord who is subject of service and the knowledge of the nithya sUri-s
iii. The governing factor of the three worlds.

The Lord who posseses the aformentioned power -shakthi -thus has the permanent
company of consorts, the nithya sUrigaL, all the worlds, things generating
happiness, etc. - which is termed as -'sathya kAman'.This is the quality
emphaised in this ten.

AzhwAr who just in the final phase of the seventh ten - submitted thiru voi
mohzi at the divine feet of the Lord of thiru vARan viLai-
for having been made the fortunate soul through whom the thiru voi mohzi was
brought out by the Almighty, became agitated and afraid. This fear psychosis
which overtook this happiness mentioned at thiru-vARan viLai- was removed by
the Lord Himself.
The doubts and the fear thus was allayed by the Lord Himself.

pAsuram-s:
"dhEvi mAr AvAr thiru magaL, bhUmi yEAva maRRamar At seivaR"---> 8-1--> The
Almighty is the Lord of all the three consorts. The Lord is the subject of
service by the nithya -sUrigaL.
"paNIyA amarar paNivum,paNbum thAnEyAm" ---> 8-3-6--> the Lord is The subject
of service and knowledge of nithya sUrigaL.
"nEar patta niRai mUvulagakkum nAyakan"--> 8-9-11-->The Lord is the supreme of
all the worlds.
"nalla kOtpAttulagangaL mUnRinuLLum thAn niRaindha"--> 8-10-11--> The Lord
Almighty is the pervading force in the worlds and possesses all the things
generating permanent happiness.

"kANumARu aruLai enRenREA kalangi"--> 8-1-2---> AzhwAr yearning for the Lord's
vision and experience.
"vumar vugandhu vugandha vuruvam nin vuruvamAgi vun thanakku anbar AnAr, avar
vugandhu amarndha seigai, vun mAyai aRivu onRum sangiRpan vinayEan" -->
8-1-4--> The Lord's great flexibility's towards His devotees is being doubted
here.
"iRandhadhum nEya, edhirndhadhum nEyEA, nigazhvadhO! nE innEA AnAl, adhu, idhu,
vudhu ennum, aRivonRum sangiRpan vinaiyEan"8-1-7 The Lord is the all pervasive
entity. This is being doubted.
"nanRum nAn anjuvn, naragam nAn adaidhal" 8-1-9 AzhwAr's fear on thinking of
this world

all these doubts and fears are expressed in the first thiru -voi-mozhi of the
eighth ten by AzhwAr.

These are remove by the Lord Himself.
