THE BIRD
FLU
Recently newspapers are full of the news
that bird flu has taken over India also. It is said that this is a respiratory
illness afflicting the birds. The deadly disease has resulted in loss of crores
of rupees to the poultry secotor and has thrown up fears of potential dangers to
the human beings in the form of human influenza via the birds affected by this
HN51 virus That they were carriers of goodwill is bygone. That they were
carrires of messages is a thing of the past. That they are transporters of
bird-flue virus is the stark reality.
Humans also tend to get affected by this
influenza, by getting into close contacts either with these birds or by eating
these or otherwise, it is said.
No this is not a write up on this subject

Coming to think of it, is this bird flu or
in-floo-enza -as the google search spits - new to
us?
No will be the assertive reply after even
a cursory reading of aruLich cheyal and the mind of our great Apostles who
submerged themselves deep into His ocean of auspicious qulaities and blessed by
Him -mayarvaRa mathi nalam aruLap peRRa
AzvArgaL.
Our SvAmi Nam-AzhvAr , Sri Thriumangai
Mannan, Sri ANDAL apart from others have been afflicted by this
disease.
The clarion call was enough for them to
get up and rush to His divine palace.
