THE GEOGRAPHICAL PARADOX

It is kindergarden lessons, which teach us that the sun comes in the day and
moon in the night. When the sun is here the moon appears in a different country
and vice-versa. The darkness cannot be accompanied by these aforementioned two
phenomenon.

It is customary for poets to compare flowers etc. but kaliyan's exceptional
comparisons with goldsmith's workplace, python paradox or the reason for not
weeding by the women-folks, are indeed outstanding.

Here is one such exemplary comparison.

To see sunshine, moon and darkness together is a null-set. This is being
narrated by thirumangai-mannan in this thiru-mozhi.

-1-The nElam- blue dagger or blue maNi- is embedded in the structures of the
divya-dEsam-kAzhisErAma viNNagaram. This reflects the darkness correlated to
the dusk.

-2-The pearls-tharaLam-which are studded among these throw out the light of the
moon.

-3-The pavazham-s -red maNi- which are culled in between blow out the glow of
sunshine.

Thus, the simulataneous scenario of darkness, moon and sunshine is witnessed in
the structures of the divya-dEsam

The pAsuram:

'..nEla mAlai thanjudaiya iruL thayaippa-1-,
tharaLam AngEA-thaN madhiyin nilAk kATTA-2-,
pavaLam-thannAl, venjudar veyyil virikkum-3-,
azhagu Ar-kAzhich sErAma viNNagarEa sErminErEa"3-4-4;

A Geographical paradox indeed.
