I meditate on the Poet, who is like the Sun for the
whole world, to destroy the darkness of ignorance
(a~jnAnam) with his word and who destroys the Kali

ThirumangaiAzhwAr proceeds to plead the Lord of
TirumalA for His unbounded limitless mercy that pours
out on His own out of His Greatest compassion on us.

alleviate my
sorrows.
Today is Sri Manavala muni Thirunakshathram. Aippasi
moolam The above sentiment is echoed by Sri Manavala
mamuni in his Arthi prabandham when he pleads to
Ramanuja..
It echoes the same sentiment - when he says:
"adhikAram unDEl arangar iranguvArO?
adhikAram illAthavarkkanrO - ethirAja!
nee iranga vENDuvathu? neeyum adhikArikaLukkE

In JitanthE StOtra, a similar sentiment is expressed
kvAham athyantha dhurbuddhi: Kva cha aathma hitha
veekshaNam/
yath hitammama dEvEsa tath aagnApaya mAdhava//
"I do not know what is good and what is bad for me.
Oh! MAdhava! You decide what is good for my welfare
and grant it"
MaNavALa MAmunigal in his Aarthi Prabandham (9)
echoes the same sentiments thus:
"koopathil vizhum kuzhaviyuDan gudhithu avvAbhathai
neekkum annai pOl"
