Dear All,
Our scriptures say, "Annam parabrahma swaroopam " - food is an aspect of
Brahman , it is a gift from God,. and we Hindus offer food to God mentally
before eating.
I hope you will all agree that nowadays in the fast paced society we do not
pay much attention to this and even for festivals like Deepavali etc.,many
people rush to sweet shops etc.
I am interested in compiling a list of recipes of the different preparations
made on various festivals and also on specific days like amavasai, dwadasi
etc., it would also be interesting if we can share memories of those good old
days. I would request the assistance of one and all.
Regards,
Srimathi Venkatachari Raghavan
