SrI:

Dear Sri Ranganatha BhakthAs:

The 66th eBook in ahobilavalli series - ?Swamy Parasara Bhattar?s SrI RangarAja Stavam ? Poorva satakam ? Vol 1? has now been uploaded to the websites.

Swamy ParAsara Bhattar is one of the most distinguished AchAryan in the Post-RaamAnuja period and is a prolific author of extraordinary distinction. He has blessed us with 12 SrI Sookthis, ten of which are in Sanskrit.  His father was SrI KurEsar and his Acharyan was EmbAr. The subject of this e-book is Sri RangarAja Stavam modeled after the Pancha Stavams of Swamy ParAsara Bhattar?s illustrious father, Swamy KurEsar. Sri RangarAja Stavam has 232 slOkams divided into Poorva and Uttara Satakas (127 and 105 slOkams respectively). It is considered that the Poorva Sataka is the elaboration of the meanings of the first Paadham of the sacred dvaya mantra and the uttara sataka is the exposition of the second paadham of the dvaya mantra.

This Volume consists of the first 62 slokams of the Poorva Satakam of SrI RangarAja Stavam.  The first 62 slOkams of the Sri RangarAja Stavam deal with the travel of Swamy ParAsara Bhattar to the inner sanctum of Lord RanganathA.  The majesty of the Temple as well as the esoteric meanings of the many features of the Temple are beautifully eulogized by SrI Parasara Bhattar in this section . Three more volumes will be released to cover the remaining 170 slOkams of SrI RangarAja Sthavam .

We are indebted to the wonderful write-up in Tamil for these slokams by SriRangam Sri K.Sridharan that appeared in Namperumal Vijayam e-Magazine.  Also the exquisite commentaries on these slokams in English by Oppiliappan Koil Dr. V.N.Vedanta Desikan that appeared as a series in Sri Nrusimha Priya have been included in this eBook to enrich the reading experience. We are grateful for SrI Nrusimha Priya adiyEn has included additional commentaries on each of these slOkams . Many unique sevais of Lord RanganAtha have been included in this book for your enjoyment .

This eBook is now being released to coincide with the commencement of the Kulasekhara Padi Kaimkaryam tomorrow at the same sanctum sanctorum of SrI RanganAthA that is linked to Natha Muni , AlavanthAr , Periya Nambi ,   RamAnujar, EmbAr , ParAsara Bhattar ( the PurOhithar of Lord Ranganatha) , Swamy Desikan and  many other renowned  AchAryAs of our Acharya Paramparai .  At this sanctum sanctorium  stood the AzhwArs including PeriyAzhwAr , KulasEkharar , ThiruppANar , Andal and others . PeriyAzhwAr and KulasEkhara AzhwAr became the Father in Laws of the Lord while AndaaL and ThiruppANar merged with the Lord inside His sanctum sanctorium .

The time ravaged Kulasekhara Padi is now in need of immediate renovation and the opportunity still exists for you all to take part in this kaimkaryam.  Please contact adiyEn as needed .

Tomorrow at Srirangam , the measurements for the new KulasEkhara Padi will be taken . Fifteen Kilos of Silver will be used to construct this New Padi and it is our hope that we will have the Kaimkaryam completed close to Panguni

Utthara Uthsavam or soon after .
