Well said.

Lord is perfection, so shall he be worshipped as a perfect form
when one is required. Vedam says that He is 'rochano rochamAna
Sobano SobamAna: kalyAna:'

The imperfect forms should be restored to their
former glory through sanctification ceremonies. The original
issue seems to be lack of funds or the will to restore the Lord to
His archa form sanctioned in the Agama sAstras. This original cause
must be addressed.

The Sila worship is unique to our culture; but this worship is
not a simple exercise as all the learned would know. Vedas did not
advocate Sila worship. The Lord came to the yAgas and went away at
the end. The people needed Him to stay longer. Thus the Agamas were
born. As much as the Vedas imagine Him to be perfection when
worshipped as saguna brahmam, such perfection and slender beauty is
postulated and detailed in the Agamas. So we must worship the Lord
in the archa form only with all the positive and perfect qualities
we desire in Him.

While we need to the address the root cause of the original concern,
the devotee shall remain contented that he is seeing Him in a
perfect form elsewhere.

RTV Varadarajan
