What you need to know:
Find |
Find: This is the Find and Replace utility, yet another strength of BBEdit. You type the string you're looking for in the Search For: box. If you want to find the next instance of that string in the current document, you click the Find button. If you want to find
all instances of that string in the current document, you click Find All.![]() You can have BBEdit replace all instances of that string in the document by typing another string into the Replace With: box and clicking Replace All. And to make things even spicier, you can search and replace through all the files in any directory by click just one button! The Multi-File Search button also expands to give you more options like searching through folders, types of documents to search and whether you want to skip folders. Man, now that's awesome!!
