Some Examples of Intelligent Agents on the Web:
- BotSpot
Touted as "the place on the Web for all bots," this page offers useful links, historical facts, and basic info about bots (intelligent agents).
- The Web Robots Pages
Includes a robot FAQ, a list of known robots, related articles, links, robot mailing lists, and more.
- MobileWare
The home page of a company which produces intelligent agents to assist in raising productivity for other businesses. Provides an interesting perspective on how intelligent agents are used.
- NeuroMedia
Home page of the creators of "Shadow Red," an intelligent agent which can "chat" with you via forms. This robot is designed to answer various questions on subjects it would be preprogrammed to know.
- LifestyleFinder
An intelligent agent designed to ask you questions and then select the best Web sites for you to visit.
- Peregrinator: A Web-Indexing Robot
A robot developed in June 1994 for "transversing and indexing sections of the world wide web." This is a good example of a small intelligent agent project.
- Intelligent Agents Group Home page
A team created in September of 1996, this unit is a collaboration of the Trinity College Dublin's Computer Science Department and Broadcom. Features links to research on intelligent agents.
