National Center for Injury Prevention and Control Published by the Division of Violence Prevention of The Centers for Disease Control

University of Alabama at Birmingham Injury Control Research Center Established in the mid 1980s, UAB is a Comprehensive ICRC, whose faculty conducts research in all of injury control's three phases: prevention, acute care and rehabilitation. All of UAB's injury research projects fall within one of two domains: Behavioral Interventions for Injury Control or Environmental Interventions for Injury Control. During 2000, the UAB-ICRC had 110 faculty representing 10 schools at UAB and 13 faculty from other prestigious academic institutions from throughout the United States.
