Ophelia Update: Host Melinda Penkava talks to meteorologist Ryan Boyles and WHQR’s Catherine Welch about Ophelia. As of Tuesday morning, Ophelia is categorized as a tropical storm and is stalled off the Carolina coast. It is expected to gain in strength and move toward the North Carolina coast later today. Host Melinda Penkava talks with bestselling writer Kathy Reichs. Reichs crafts thrillers based on her real life as a forensic anthropologist for the state of North Carolina and Quebec, Canada. Her latest novel is “Cross Bones” (Simon and Schuster/2005). In it, heroine Tempe Brennan follows a mysterious set of bones to the Holy Land. On Tuesday, Sept. 13, Fox will premiere its TV series “Bones,” which is inspired by Reichs’ life. Listener Call-In. (59:00) (CP)

Junebug was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, and Adams won the Special Jury Prize for her performance. (20:00)
