Legislative Roundtable: The 2005 session of the North Carolina General Assembly begins this Wednesday, Jan. 26. Lawmakers’ primary responsibilty is to come up with a working state budget. Other issues on the table include gambling, arts funding, and a new independent panel to review criminal defendants’ innocence claims. Host Rusty Jacobs leads a roundtable discussion on the upcoming legislative session. Guests include: Eric Dyer, reporter for the Greensboro News and Record; Mark Johnson, reporter for the Charlotte Observer; and Laura Leslie, capitol reporter for WUNC.
