Last year, tourism revenue surpassed $13 billion in North Carolina. With attractions like the coast, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Piedmont pottery, the state has long been a destination for those seeking a variety of diversions. But a recent study released by the North Carolina Department of Commerce showed that the number of visitors to some of the state’s most popular destinations is dropping.
