Women’s Music

It’s the 30th anniversary of Cris Williamson’s landmark album, “The Changer and the Changed.” In 1975 it was the second release from Olivia Records — the country’s first women owned and operated label. The album went o to become one of the best-selling indie releases of all time. Olivia has morphed into a travel company but Durham based Ladyslipper Music is now a premier recording company for female artists. Ladyslipper sponsors a weekend of concerts and workshops and Cris Williamson and Durham native Teresa Trull talk to host Melinda Penkava about 30 years of music and the women’s movement. Listener Call-In. (40:00)
