After nine years without an increase, North Carolina’s $5.15/hour minimum wage is up for review. State Treasurer Richard Moore announced plans on Tuesday to push for a $1.00 increase in North Carolina’s minimum wage, but many business owners are skeptical. How does North Carolina’s minimum wage compare to the rest of the country? And who really benefits from minimum wage hikes?
