Change Baby: Host Melinda Penkava speaks with June Spence about her debut novel “Change Baby” (Riverhead Books/2004). The book is set in the fictional NC town of Regina and follows the story of young Avie Goss, who returns from a wayward life in Ohio to take care of her elderly mother and, ultimately, to unravel and make peace with the secrets her family has harbored for years.
