Kenny Roby

He’s been labeled a roots rocker and critics have likened his songs to those of Bob Dylan and Neil Young. But Kenny Roby, one-time leader of the Raleigh band Six String Drag, says his music is just as much a reflection of his love of punkers like the Clash and Bad Brains. And he points to his latest release “The Mercy Filter” as an example. Kenny Roby and guitarist Scott McCall play a few songs from the album and chat with host Frank Stasio. (17:30)
