Stormwater Runoff

Where Does The Water Go?: Host Melinda Penkava talks about the science and politics of stormwater runoff with Amy Pickle, an attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center; Coleen Sullins, deputy director in the Division of Water Quality at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources; Lisa Martin, the director of regulatory affairs at the Home Builder’s Association of North Carolina; and Pete Peterson, vice chairman of the Environmental Management Commission. A state agency pushed for stormwater runoff legislation this past summer, but homebuilders succeeded in getting a watered-down version through the state legislature. Listener Call-In. (59:00)
