Collection Spotlight: Friends of the North Carolina Public Libraries

Friends of North Carolina Public Libraries, established in 1980, is a statewide organization run by volunteers from around North Carolina. It promotes library services throughout the state by encouraging and assisting the formation, growth, and development of Friends of the Library groups and by providing the means for Friends to exchange ideas, information and experiences.

As you prepare for the Spring, keep in mind the FONCPL Spring Workshops, held at five different locations around the state. The workshops are free and provide an opportunity for Friends to share ideas about special programs, fundraisers and book sales. Check the website in a few weeks for locations early in 2011.
