Re: Northlander Footage



Francis:

Be aware that the present "consist" (railway lingo) of the Northlander --
that is, the cars (not the Canadian-built diesel locomotive) are used
European imports of considerable age. The train name has been in existence
for the period you mentioned, but there have been different consists used
over all those decades.

Steam locomotives would have pulled the Northlanders prior to circa 1960.

I further recommend that you use you use your internet search engine to find
the 'Web address for the Ontario Northland Railway (which is a unit of
Ontario's provincial government). I have seen the web page in the past, but
for the life of me cannot recall its address.
