Re: Teaching the Genitive

In my opinion , teachers should aim at Teaching the basic meaning of the cases, without recourse to labels Nom - subject Gen - source, separation Dat - advantage, location. Acc - object. Re: The 'Lucian Pronunciation' of Koine Greek

The only way I can pronounce π τ κ as unaspirated stops... I thought so too, until I found a little trick. We speak unaspirated stops after an S. Say "stop, stop, stop." Then, without changing ANYTHING else, remove the "S" for a unaspirated "top, top, top." Repeat with...

Re: The 'Lucian Pronunciation' of Koine Greek

Language Learning Strategy for Autodidacts

I've settled on a reliable reading / language learning strategy that I teach to my students and recommend to others.

Re: Gaining Proficiency...

You have a great regimen. The overlapping review is very good. Very few people keep up the sort of steady learning you describe. Add gesturing to your reading and do more with less text. ____Read fluently. ____Comprehend at 95% level. ____Then read it out as if communicating it to a crowd. As you do...
