Re: 2Co 4:4
Hi Roy, I don't have access to the Codex Sinaiticus. Is this the version you have access to? Or are you using the Nestle-Aland Text, or the UBS text, or the Byzantine text, or what? I think it would help us to know exactly what text you are referring to. In the quote you gave, I didn't see any capit...

Re: Vocabulary by Author Group
In Logos 4 I can create a word list (under "File"), choose NA27 (or any version available), and then add specific references. I called my list "Pauline" and so far have added Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, and Galatians with no glitches (other than the time it takes to gen...

ἐν χριστῷ (Ephesians)
I'm studying Ephesians, and I'm struggling with the phrase ἐν χριστῷ in Ephesians. I can do word searches, but I really don't want to try to find every occurrence in Greek literature of ἐν + personal name. For those of you familiar with Greek literature, can you send me in the direction of other (no...

βαπτίζω with prepositions
Can anyone refer me to a detailed study(ies) on βαπτίζω and its cognates, specifically as used with prepositions? I do not have access to BDAG at this time, but you are welcome to scan/copy its entries and send them to me. Anything else is welcome as well.

Also, reading Greek that feels comfortable to you so there's less to "figure out."

Re: Decode No More
One thing that has helped me is to read it out loud multiple times, with intentional expression. That will help you focus on meaning rather than form.

Re: Bible Story in Pictures in Koine
I think this is a great project. No matter how poor the comics are (and I don't think they're all that bad for their purpose; it's not like this is going to be marketed in Walmart) they're already a step up from plain text. Do more!

Re: Sequence of complexity
All that makes sense. I don't disagree with any of it. I guess what I'm looking for is a slightly different angle. Rather than think about what sequence to teach things in (which is what textbooks and teachers do), I'm thinking as a reader. If I come to the text, what sort of things are going to be ...

Sequence of complexity
Hello friends, As some may be aware, a few of us are working on a project entailing a system of leveling texts and creating leveled texts. I'm curious to those of you who have spent some time thinking about this, and especially people who teach actively (involving more of their students' minds than ...
