Re: apocryphal gospels diglot
[For the moderators: So do NT apocrypha and pseudepigrapha belong in this section of the list, or does "Pseudepigrapha" in "Septuagint and Pseudepigrapha" mean "OT pseudepigrapha"? Maybe the "church fathers" section should be renamed to create a section for e...

Re: Funk BIGHG
I notice the volume 3 (the appendices) is only partially completed. There are no images or pdf pages past page 22 (i.e. pages 23-ca 184) are missing. Is this correct? I was looking for the images for the appendices today too, and did not find them. Do you know who might have them? I wasn't involved...

Re: Psilon Perispomene (Psili Perispomeni) on Majuscular Ups
It's there at http://www.unicodemap.org/details/0x1F5E/index.html but it's not in Unicode 6.0 at http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U1F00.pdf The lowercase form could have smooth and circumflex if it's in a diphthong, as the second letter of a word (εὖ). But it wouldn't be capitalized because, as Car...

From ἑνόω.Mike Baber wrote:What is ἡγωμένον? Is it a present middle participle of ἡγέομαι? I looked up ἡγέομαι in LSJ (via Perseus), but I didn't find it used in the sense of "unite." Can you elaborate Carl?

Re: Field's Notes on Hexapla for Genesis 4:1
http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/11/4/2636953//Field%20-%20Hexapla%20-%20Genesis%204-1.jpg On the footnote 2, it refers to a source "St. Anastas. Hexaem. Lib. VII." I'm assuming this is a St. Anastasia, but I don't know what the source is (Hexaem?). Can anyone help me? It's in Migne's PG...

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)
Why is Liberation Sans in the list? The version I have has no coverage of the Greek extended block.Jonathan Robie wrote:The order of fonts is currently:Code: Select all

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)
Is it fair to say that font display is now working for Greek, and we're discussing how to optimize some things? Let's see if we're trying to optimize the same things or not. Here are my priorities: 1. Greek shows up properly for the vast majority of users regardless of operating system / web browse...

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)
It may be that the utilitarian sans-serifs are proving adequate, but I think the screenshots I've posted show a more attractive and readable page. What were your thoughts? -- Nigel. Your screenshots look good. But I also think Tahoma looks good, and has the added benefit of consistency and simplici...

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)
It looks like fine to me in Arial Unicode MS, but the example does not include the holam, which is the vowel point that fonts mess up (in my experience). Stephen (But I prefer Tahoma to Arial, anyway.) As an example of some typical problem areas, we could use תִּמְלֹ֣ךְ with a dagesh, holam, raised...
