Suggestions for translation notes in software?
Currently I do my translation/reading practice by writing out the greek on one line, and writing out the English below. It works quite well, but I would much rather be doing this on my computer. How do people do this, do they create word documents with tables rows/columns for each word? It seems unb...

Melbourne (Australia) Greek summer reading group
Just wanting to check if there is anyone in Melbourne interested in a Greek reading group meeting over the summer? We'll probably meet in person once per week, probably going through John. If so please drop me a message.

Re: Πολυμερῶς καὶ πολυτρόπως
Thanks Wes. I tried looking them up in the bible and they apparently appear no where else. I somehow have 5 or 6 greek dictionaries in Accordance, and none of them provide much information apart from the fact these words are a combination of the two other words. And yes, I noticed this as well, this...

Πολυμερῶς καὶ πολυτρόπως
I've not come across this before, are the words Πολυμερῶς and πολυτρόπως being used as a preposition, or is there another rule at play which I have not yet learnt?
Heb. 1:1
Πολυμερῶς καὶ πολυτρόπως πάλαι ὁ θεὸς λαλήσας τοῖς πατράσιν ἐν τοῖς προφήταις

Why learn biblical languages?
A while ago I came across an excellent blog article, which compared not learning biblical languages to attending a college class in french classics when the teacher couldn't actually read french.
I've lost the link to it, I wondered if anyone here bookmarked it?
Thanks!

Re: Australian time friendly NT greek reading group
Yea, a reading group is definitely only worth it for people who want to be in one. There might be a window of time in the learning progression where it's of no use? Perhaps when you are a real beginner , and when you are a real expert the value might diminish? For me personally, I'm just keen to fin...

Australian time friendly NT greek reading group
I've been looking around a bit for an NT greek reading group, they are all for the most part quite inconvenient. (Im keen, but not 3:30am-4:30am keen) Is there a group of Australians that might be interested in starting a Google Hangout, it would probably work for anyone closer to the +1100 timezone...

Re: ηνοιγη in passive (Acts 12:10, Revelation 15:5)
So the answer (aside from buy a complex dictionary I don't yet completely understand) is that it sometimes has a regular aorist form, and sometimes has a "second aorist" type of form?

ηνοιγη in passive (Acts 12:10, Revelation 15:5)
Accordance says ηνοιγη is 3rd person singular aorist passive indicative. I know how this works in active, i.e.: ανοιγω → ε+ανοιγ+σα → ηνοιξα But for passive, the rules (Duff 169/170) seem to get me: ανοιγω → ε+ανοιγ+θη → ηνοιχθη What am I missing? Are there special rules I haven't learnt yet? Thanks!
