How Do You Accent Personal Names in the LXX?

Recently I have doing some reading in the LXX of 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles and noticed that even in accented edtions (both the print edition of Rahlf's and online at Unbound Bible), the names of people are not given accent marks. As I am considering recording some LXX passages (for personal practice,...

Seems to have the same editors as yours, except with the addition of Field. Devenios Doulenios Δεβένιος Δ...

Re: Origin's Hexepla Available

Salve, amice Barie, χαιρε ω φιλε Βαριε I have a pdf of the edition by Field, which I believe I found on Internet Archive or Google Books. Do you know what the differences are between the two editions? Would it be worthwhile to have both? Vale, ερρωσο Devenios Doulenios Δεβένιος Δουλένιος P.S. I beli...

Re: Reading Greek beyond the basics: Saturation style

χαῖρε, Jonathan, ὦ φίλε μου! As a former Erasmian, I agree that not being able to hear a difference between ημιν and υμιν can make things seem more difficult at first. It did for me initially. But combining reading the text and hearing it helps with this because you see (and hear) the pronouns in co...

Re: Reading Greek beyond the basics: Saturation style

Jonathan, I would recommend the the greeklatinaudio.com site. I have used it online, and now have the CD (not free, but cheap), which I imported into iTunes. Am about to start using it for the Gospel of John for devotional readings. As for the Modern Greek pronunciation issue, a couple of points: 1....
