Polis is enrolling for Greek 1 and Greek 4.

https://www.polisjerusalem.org/program/ ... e/#courses

Both classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays for 90 minutes each, Feb 15 – Jun 16, 2022. The cost is roughly $700 / USD.

What other good options are there for people who want to learn Greek online instead of in person? Suppose someone wanted to enroll in a class in the next month or so, what would you recommend?

I've done Koine Greek with Biblical Language Center over zoom. The courses were excellent.

See https://www.biblicallanguagecenter.com/ to check current class schedules.

We teach Koine Greek online at ENMU (Eastern New Mexico University)
Beginning Greek I starts in the Fall semester, covers chapters 1 -30 of the Online Textbook. Continuation of Beginning Greek is offered in the Spring semesters. Both are 4-credit-hour courses. Intermediate and Advanced Greek courses can be taken online, but it depends on whether or not we have students at ENMU who want to take the courses.
One does not need to be registered for a degree, one can audit the classes, and take them as what is classified as a "fun class" (if taken as an ENMU audit class, one still has to pay a fee)
Special rates for US military and senior citizens.

Also, this coming summer I am probably going to be teaching a 2-credit-hour "workshop in Greek" - a gentle introduction designed mainly for seminarians, running for 8 weeks instead of the usual 16-week courses.

College Webpage is https://www.enmu.edu/
Non-degree students https://www.enmu.edu/admission/how-to-apply/non-degree
Online BAAS (Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences) degree in Religion (can include Greek) https://www.enmu.edu/academics/degrees- ... e-religion
Online BUS (Bachelor of University studies) https://www.enmu.edu/academics/degrees- ... ty-studies

I must say, however, that Michael Kopf is the best AG speaker there is. He was the coordinator at Polis before me.

I take classes with him every two weeks on Greek poetry. We read Aeschylus' Agamemnon and discuss it in AG.

This is his website:

Katie Kopf is also a great speaker and teacher. We taught together one intensive course in Jerusalem.

Our fall term will start soon, and as usual we will be offering different classes online for all levels and tastes:

Spoken Ancient Greek for Beginners: Athenaze

Easy Ancient Greek: Aesop’s Fables and Other Animal Stories

διδάγματα περὶ τοῦ Μένωνος
Reading Plato’s „Meno“

περὶ τῆς εἰσαγωγῆς τοῦ Πορφυρίου εἰς τὰς τοῦ Ἀριστοτέλους κατηγορίας
Reading Porphyry’s “Isagoge”

περὶ τοῦ Προμηθέως δεσμώτου
Reading Aeschylus’ „Prometheus Bound“

All of these classes have a focus on spoken Ancient Greek: Speaking the language is, in our personal as well as professional experience as teachers, the best way to acquire a deep and intuitive understanding of ancient Greek.

If you are a teacher yourself and you would like to introduce some spoken Ancient Greek into your classroom, you may find some help and ideas in our “Workshop for Teachers”.

Registrations for all of our fall classes are open now. You can find out more on our homepage:

https://www.triodos-trivium.com/online-classes/

We hope to see you soon in one of our classes!
