While of course there ARE differences between the way that various cultures train and shape people's emotions, emotional responses and interactions are a very important part of how we understand language. In foreign language learning, emotions are often engaged very late in the acquisition process.

Having a foreign language touch one's heart is not such an easy thing. Our heart, soul and emotions are are supposed to be touched by God. Has anyone developed a mature set of emotional responses to the text in Greek? How was that achieved?

Empathy and identity with the characters in the stories might be aided by some sort of structured or guided emotional responses to the language. Is there something like that available?
