Increasingly, researchers of Scripture understand the indispensable value of Intertestamental Jewish texts. Since many of these texts were composed in and/or translated and transmitted in Greek, the Jewish Texts Greek Readers (JTGR) series provides a broad sampling of these Jewish texts from the Hellenistic era. The JTGR are advanced Greek readers (Tier 5) in GlossaHouse’s AGROS series. This particular JTGR volume by K. R. Harriman contains an introduction and the Greek texts of the Jewish Pseudepigraphal works, The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs. As an advanced Greek reader, Harriman has prepared footnotes with glosses for Greek words occurring less than thirteen times in the Greek New Testament. Additionally, readers will find translation helps (TH) and morphological helps (MH) for difficult grammatical forms. Finally, included for reference is a gloss-lexicon of Greek words occurring thirteen times or more in the New Testament.
K. R. Harriman, PhD (Asbury Theological Seminary, 2022), is an independent scholar from Fritch, TX. This present book is his first. Dr. Harriman has published a dozen articles in academic journals. Many more of his writings on biblical studies, theology, history, and the works of J. R. R. Tolkien can be found at his Substack page: krharriman.substack.com.
