Welcome, Andries,
You have set yourself a very high goal; so don't be disappointed if it takes longer. The main things will be to learn a bit each day, and to keep on practicing what you have already learned. There are lots of people here who can help and encourage you. There are also some other resources on the Internet which you might find useful:
https://dailydoseofgreek.com/ the Daily Dose of Greek - a (free) daily email and link to a 2-minute video dealing with a verse from the Greek New Testament
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvniRD ... B9DQCajGQQ "Reading the Bible in Greek" with Maria - she speaks very clearly, and gives both modern Greek and Erasmian Greek pronunciations
And I have a textbook online, at http://www.drshirley.org/greek/textbook02/index.html which you are welcome to use. It is similar to Dobson's book, but I wanted my students to get a firmer grasp of the grammar of the language, so ended up writing my own.
All best wishes - even if it takes longer than a year, it will be very rewarding
