Intro - Alan Paul

Hello All
My name is Alan Paul and I live in Hong Kong China. Now well into my 60s, I run a small consulting business, which allows me time to pursue other interests.
After dabbling in NT Greek for a number of years, in 2013 I enrolled in a 2 year course run by the bible college of our local (Chinese) church. The fact that the course material was in Cantonese (although firmly rooted in Machem Gresham) added some spice to the learning process!
Apart from purely linguistic interest, my motivation in studying NT Greek is to try to get closer to the meaning and intention of the original authors and to challenge some of the assumptions and perhaps misunderstandings that have flowed from our available translations.
I can usually work things out for myself, but when I get stuck the advice and wisdom of this forum will be an incredibly valuable resource.
